Professor Jane Rapley OBE
Professor Emerita Ex Head of College at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London
Honorary Academic Director ofInternationalCreativeArt & DesignAcademy
After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Jane Rapley has been involved with design education for many years. In particular, she has served for 17 years as Dean of Fashion and Textiles at Central Saint Martins. No one more than her knows the secrets of an institute that became a synonym of innovation and creativity and that over the years gave light to talents like Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Stella McCartney. Jane was awarded and OBE for services to Higher Education in 2001 and appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2002.
